Are you looking for a Sceptre Monitor? You are not able to decide between all the models? In this post I will give a Sceptre Monitor Review and help you choose with your buy.
I am able to give a good reference on the pros and cons of a sceptre monitor, as I have been using them for quite a while. Each of the Sceptre Monitors comes with its up and downs. Don’t worry, in this post I will try to uncover the pros and cons of three of the best sceptre monitors (in my opinion).
Let’s start by talking about the company Sceptre first, is it any good?
Sceptre Monitor Review
Sceptre monitors are made by Sceptre Incorporated, based in California. They are worldwide known by their leading-edge technology on LED, LCD and HDTV monitors and TVs. One example is their CRT technology which they created and developed.
Sceptre is always at the forefront in technology in TVs and curved monitors.
Sceptre Monitors are of high quality and good durability. They provide a very nice high definition on their display. You will not encounter problems with malfunctions and even if you do, Sceptre is able to provide replacements quite easily.
In my experience, I have used more than 6 monitors and all of them provided what was expected. Their curved screen monitors are of high quality. You can watch in them movies, or play the latest game without any problems.
If you are willing to have a good monitor: Sceptre monitors are in a position of providing you the best value for your investment.
Sceptre Monitors products
On of the main pros for Sceptre, is their Curved Monitors. They offer both types: a normal LED monitor and Curved Monitors.
The curved monitors are edgeless, meaning the edges of the monitor are very thin and sometimes they are not even visible! This detail will make you live your games and drench in the movies.
Curved monitors are excellent for a full immersion on the activity you are doing.
Screen quality, refresh rate and LED
All the sceptre monitors have a very high quality on the display of colours, high resolution and picture detail. If combined with a state of the art GPU, you will have the best picture display on your monitors.
The refresh rate of the monitors are a lot better than other monitors. Sceptre provides 200 Hz on top monitors. This is more than 3 times than the normal rate. This will provide smoother transitions on your display.
LED monitors provide us with an efficient way of display and state of the art monitors. The sharpness in the visualisation can be clearly differentiated from others. For gaming or office work, you will like this sharpness as it provides you with a clear vision.
Ports and speakers
Most of the monitors will have a:
- DVI Port
- HDMI Port
- VGA port
You will not have any problem with compatibility with your PC.
The monitors also provide a headphones input for audio. Excellent for listening to crisp and alive sounds from your game or movie.
The compatibility start with Windows 7 and above. So if you have a lower Operative System, you will not be able to use the monitor.
On some of the monitors a built-in speaker is included. They are usually fixed in the frame of the monitor so they are not a disturbance.
Sceptre Monitors Review
Here the top sceptre monitors that I have used and loved the most:
Sceptre 35” Curved Gaming Monitor (C355W-3440UN)
For me, this is the best curved monitor at this price. This monitor has a 3440 x 1440 pixels of resolution, which is more than enough. It creates a very sharp image with all the colouring and brightness.
The resolution of the screen makes the screen density of 1440 PPI which is more than the average monitor.
The big feature of this monitor is the 200Hz refresh rate. This is key to have top responsiveness (less than 5ms). This is an ultra-fast monitor at this price range.
By means of connectivity it has 3 HDMI inputs and one display port, so you will not have any issue connecting your PC.
One of the features is the blue light filter which allows you to reduce the impact of the screen on your sight when working or playing. It is very recommended to set it up when not needing the high colour and brightness.
The monitor provides a 94% sRGB colours which provide a very big range of colours.
This is a very good curved monitor just under 400$. Which makes it extra special for the monitors under 400$.
Spectre 24” Curved Monitor (C248B-144RN)
This fantastic monitor is perfect for those on a budget. This monitor is just below 150$, which makes it perfect for adjusted price.
It has a refresh rate of 144Hz which makes the screen a lot more responsive than the average 60Hz out there.
This monitor really stands out from its class. At this price, you will find very few options with these characteristics.
The monitor offers a resolution of Full HD 1920 x 1080. It’s software inside creates a more sharp image than expected which makes it perfect for gaming on a budget. Its performance is really good in my experience.
On of the nicest features is its viewing angle of 178 degrees. Which means you will not have any problem watching from any angle.
This monitor is perfect if you are in a tight budget for a monitor.
Sceptre 24” Curved Monitor (C248W-1920RN)
This is a more compact size of the curved monitors, which is quite handy if you are looking for something smaller than the others.
With this monitor, you can have the perfect balance between work and gaming. If you are going to multiuse your PC between working and gaming and don’t mind a smaller screen: this monitor is perfect for your needs.
It has a very good performance in terms of greyscale. The high quality image and sharpness you will get is perfect for your needs.
It has VESA mounting on the back so you can hang it on the wall with a proper hanger. Also, it has a nice stand to put on a desktop.
This is the perfect choice if you are going to use the monitor for gaming, work or whatever.
Conclusion on Sceptre Monitor Review
If you are looking for a high-end beautiful and very high-performance monitor and do not mind the price, then I would strongly suggest going for the 30” monitor. This monitor is excellent and will provide the best performance and viewing experience. Combined with a high end GPU this will make you the king of the gaming parties.
If you are on a budget and do not need the highest end monitor, you can easily go for the 24” inch monitor. This is not as high end as the previous one, but it is perfect for the price range. If money is a concern and you want a curved monitor, go for this.
And lastly, if you do not need a monitor specifically for gaming you can go for the second 24” inch monitor. It will provide you with a great picture and sharpness while reducing the budget a lot.
At the end, the choice is yours to go for whichever monitor that will solve your problems. Sceptre monitors are very good monitors that provide a really high performance for a good price.
